Various/site-specific, Sydney, NSW, Australia (Oct 2017 - )
Sonic Infrastructures is a series of site-specific performances that seek to intervene in and interrogate the socio-technical relations that co-produce contemporary urban space. Drawing on the practices of field-recording and soundscape composition (from Soundscape Studies), which are employed alongside electro-magnetic audification and data-sonification techniques, the project endeavours to employ an expanded approach to soundscape composition as an experimental mode of enquiry into a ‘general ecology’ of sound, spatiality and technics.
